Abstract
This paper suggests that a revision of the original 33 chiropractic principles (Stephenson 1927, p. xxxi-xxxiii) would be beneficial for the advancement of understanding of the impact of the vertebral subluxation on the human condition. The 33 principles which have been the “bedrock” of chiropractic philosophy for the past 70 years are cumbersome, repetitive, and in some cases contradict contemporary scientific knowledge.
