Abstract


Objective: This case documents improvements in subjective and objective outcomes in a 5-year-old female with a CASK gene mutation undergoing chiropractic care.

Clinical Features: A 5-year-old female with a CASK gene mutation presented to the office with complaints of poor sleep, poor self-regulation, allergies, poor digestion, and poor language integration. Additionally, the patient exhibited global hypotonia, gross motor delays and dysautonomia.

Intervention & Outcomes: The analysis and technique system utilized are described in addition to outcome assessments including spinal thermography. The patient was under care over the course of three months and her mother reported observations of improvement as care progressed.

Conclusion: This case demonstrated improved health outcomes, subjective complaints and resolution of symptoms and dysautonomia in a child with CASK mutation as subluxations were reduced and autonomic tone was progressively balanced.
