Abstract
June 6, 2006 witnessed an historic event when the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) petitioned for renewal of recognition by the United States Department of Education (USDE). It was said that the USDE had never had so many people attend a hearing before. Individuals and representatives from several organizations provided testimony including:
- The International Chiropractors Association
- The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards
- The American Chiropractic Association
- The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners
- The Association of Chiropractic Colleges
- Current and Past Chiropractic College Presidents
- The Georgia Chiropractic Council
- Doctors for Excellence in Chiropractic Education
- The World Chiropractic Alliance
- Practicing Chiropractors
- Former Chiropractic Students
The transcripts of the proceedings provide evidence of a deeply splintered, paranoid, untrusting, embittered and incestuous profession. We reprint these transcripts in the hope that they will play a role in the development of a dialogue that the profession is in desperate need of having.
