Abstract


Chiropractic services are often utilized by the pregnant population for a number of reasons, including low back pain, headaches and fetal malpresentation. Through reduction of vertebral subluxation, it is contended that chiropractic care may alleviate complications affecting quality of life for the pregnant woman and the developing child.1 Vertebral subluxations may cause muscular and ligamentous imbalance and intrauterine constraint in pregnancy, thereby inhibiting optimal function of the body.
